He came to bring the Mourners Joy

  • Revelations 5:9

And they sung a new Song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the Book, and to open the Seals thereof: for Thou was slain and hast redeemed us to God by Thy Blood out of every Kindred, and Tongue, and People, and Nation.

Most revered Lamb, Jesus Christ! You were slain on the Tree for our Sins, to appease God’s Heart. Crowned with Praise and Glory, because the Power of Love and Obedience drove Your Desire to fulfill the Father’s Will to redeem us, fallen Creatures, through this miraculous Act.

The greatness of Your Passion, the degree of Your Pain, and the Patience You showed, far exceed the understanding of our Hearts and Minds. You gave Yourself willingly to the Cross. We would not be able to suffer the same, no matter our willingness to do so. The Things we suffer today are small compared to the Cross.

But such Devotion was not counted as excessive by this little Lamb. Lord, You did not suffer in vain. Lord, You suffered as a King who gives up his Life for his People so that he can save them. You offered Yourself as a Sacrifice to an angry God to atone for breaking His Commandments.

You could have remained in Your Father’s House without dedicating Yourself to us as a Saviour. But You could not bear that God’s Plan for us was Death through Sin. So You left Your Father’s side to sacrifice Yourself on the Cross to save the Sinners. With compassion You gladly offered Yourself up.

You saved us from our Pride and perverse Nature. You carried the Wood for Your Sacrifice, You let Yourself be stripped naked and nailed to the Cross. From the Wounds in Your Hands and Feet, from the Spear in Your Side, You shed Your Blood to pay for our Wrongs.

They did not take Your Life from You; You chose to give it. No amount of Goats or Calves can equal this Sacrifice. You offered to God the most acceptable Thing of all, which would tempt Him to extend Grace: Your Obedience and entire Will that sent You to Your Death on the Cross.

You are worthy, little Lamb! the Power that God had from the Beginning fell into Your Hand when You allowed Yourself to be slain and opened the Seal that showed the Path to Victory. Little Lamb! to You be the Glory and Honour. The redeemed Nations will rejoice endlessly because of Your Sacrifice.

At Your Death, Lamb and Shepherd! eternity resounded with Your Deeds and Reconciliation of the World. The Peace You gave through Your Blood will forever be a new Song to the Citizens of Heaven. Little Lamb! the royal Priesthood will forever praise Your Love with renewed Strength. Amen.

  • Matthew 6:33

But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His Righteousness; and all these Things shall be added unto you.

Question: Must a person provide for Sustenance of the Body?

In Matthew 6:11, Jesus instructs us when we pray for the Things we need, to pray: Give us this Day our daily Bread.

If we seek the Kingdom of God and believe in His Goodness and Grace, He will feed our spiritual Hunger to fill and satisfy our Hearts, and as well give our Body what it needs to survive.

Jesus said, Take no thought for your Life, what we eat or drink. God will provide for us just as He provides for the Fowl of the Air.

After ministering to a large Crowd, Jesus demonstrated God’s generosity by taking five small loaves of Bread and two Fish and fed everyone until all were satisfied. After everyone had eaten their fill, many Baskets of Leftovers were gathered.

Answer: Yes, in a Christian Manner, so that we may first seek the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness. Amen.

  • Micah 6:8

He hath shewed thee, O, Man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love Mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

The Lord who governs Earth and Heaven, has given us a new covenant; how we should live if we intend to lead a Christian Life. What we should do and, and what we should not do, and the Path we must walk. What we should love and what we should hate, to obtain God’s Mercy and to live in His Grace.

God’s Law is presented to us as a Guide: love God as a Child would, so that no sinful Deed may offend Him while we live in the World. One should love his Neighbour sincerely, and wish for him that which we desire for ourselves. With our Actions assure him that our Help is always to Hand.

Christ our Saviour, says, this is what God writes to you through Moses; and in the Prophet’s Pages urges us toward Fulfillment: therefore the Children of Israel are chosen and loved by God; but if they forsake Him and do wrong, they are punished as Sinners.

According to this Law, God judges so called Christianity; He does not look at our Station in Life, vain Honour, or earthly Glory. He looks at the Source and Foundation: the Heart and works of Faith. His holy Eye discerns whether we stand within the holy Covenant.

We must strive to become like the Saviour if we want to be rightly called Christians and become Heir in the Kingdom of Heaven. We must strengthen our Souls through Faith and Love, Gentleness, and Humility. Then we will carry out the Struggles of Faith with acts of Love pleasing to God.

God’s Word commands: sometimes Suffering is necessary. Sometimes Conflicts are necessary, if God wills it, but not to shed human Blood as unfortunately happens. Jesus will not command or tolerate shortening precious Life.

Consider carefully what Strife, Battle and Enmity really are. We can fight and win but only according to Christ’s teaching and Word. A Christian is not without a Shield: his Banner is the Blood of the Cross. Through Suffering, the Enemy becomes Mild, Ashamed and Humbled.

He uses no Poison, not String, not Arrows, no human Instruments of Murder, only the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of Salvation, which builds Body and Soul, and does not separate. With a devout Countenance he pleads with the bitter Enemy and to those who oppress him he offers a loving Hand.

He, who with Virtue has succeeded in the Struggle, has attained greater Fame and Honour than he who has conquered City and Country, and adorned himself with the Symbols of Victory; what good would it do to rule the whole World, a World which he must someday leave, if he loses his Soul in the Process! Amen!

  • Matthew 18:20

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

O Jesus! the Seed of Life! join us in work and gathering, so that it will not be in vain. Fulfill the Miracles that You promised Your chosen to do.

With heartfelt sighing we long for You and Your Salvation to be with us. Teach us to sing, teach us to pray, let Your Spirit come upon us that we may come before the Father with righteous and open Hearts.

Help us rid ourselves of unholy and scattered Thoughts. Let us think Christian Thoughts that strengthen the Light to brighten our Path. O, Head of the true Members, accept us too! Bring us back to the heavenly Path from which we have strayed.

Give us Eyes, give us Ears, give us a Heart like Yours; that we may truly be born again, Lord, ready for Your Kingdom in Heaven. O yes Lord! teach us to become Christians who are the Salt of the Earth. Yes Lord! according to Your Will. Amen.

  • John 4:34

Jesus saith unto them, my Meat is to do the Will of Him that sent me, and to finish His Work.

O Jesus, the perfect Example of true Devotion! Your Heart consecrated to the Father is the perfect Temple of every Virtue, and is pure and free from all Guilt. All You do is worthy of God’s Grace.

Who more zealous to do the Father’s Will than You? It was Your Glory and peace of Mind to fulfill it faithfully, with no Thought of self Glory, praising the One who sent You.

When You saw wickedness, You were filled with sorrow, but the Father’s Word brought Gladness and true Joy to Your Heart. Your Mind dwelled on Him alone, and Your Eyes always looked toward Him.

You joyfully honoured Him with Words and Deeds before all the World. You were ready to suffer for our Salvation according to His Will. As God is Love itself, so are You, Lord Jesus Christ.

You suffered Torment and Distress without a murmur, and were obedient to the point of Death on the Cross. Even then Your Trust was firmly and only in Your Father.

Despite being given up, Your Heart remained with God. And despite being surrounded by those who mocked, Your highest Hope was for God’s help. What You hoped for came to pass: God heard Your Prayer!

Crowned with Honour and Praise by Him, Your Place is at His right Hand. All of God’s Servants extend the Praise which You are so worthy of. O, blessed is he that is like You!

Help me, Lord, that I may be an Example. That I may follow and treasure my God, like You do. To esteem Him above all else and to do His Will with a joyful Heart and peace of Mind! Amen.

Teaching them to observe all Things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the World. Amen.

O, Lord Jesus Christ! save me with Your Grace! Help me to stand against the cunning Trickery of the evil Enemy so that it can not harm me.

O, worthy Redeemer! let me hear Your Word! Tell me about the Salvation waiting for me, both now and the Hereafter.

O, precious Light! shine upon me with Your Majesty! Surround me with Your Truth, so that I do not live my Life in the wrong Way.

O, glorious Lord! extend to me Your Blessing! May Your Power and Grace always live within me.

O, mighty Champion! stay and protect me! Let not the Enemy oppose me, nor the wicked World trample on me.

O, my Lod and God! stay with me with Your Faithfulness! Remove the obstacles that clutter my Way, so that I will not stray from the right Path on my Way to You. Amen.

  • John 14:23

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a Man love me, he will keep my Words and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our Abode with him.

I will love You, my Strength! I will love You, my Beautiful! I will love You with Deeds and everlasting Desire. I will love, most beautiful Light until my Heart breaks in Death.

I will love You, O Keeper of my Life, as my dearest Friend. I will love and exalt as long as Your eternal Splendor shines upon me. I will love You, Lamb of God, as my dearest Bridegroom.

Alas, that I waited so long before recognizing Your highly praised Beauty. Alas, that I didn’t call You mine sooner, Most High and true Rest. I regret with Sorrow that I awaited so long to show You my Love.

I sought You and did not find You, for I went astray and was Blind. I had turned away from You and followed a false Light. But through Hope and Grace I turned around and now I have seen the true Light.

I thank You the true Sun; Your Radiance has brought me Light. I thank You, heavenly Joy, that You have made me glad and set me Free. I thank Your golden Word, that Your Grace and Mercy have made me Whole.

Keep me on the right Path and do not let me stray. Help me to keep moving Forward and keep me from stumbling. And let Your bright Radiance shine on me, Body and Soul.

Make my Tears sweet with Happiness, fill my Heart with pure Love. Let my Soul bury itself deeply in Your Love. Let my Spirit, Mind and Understanding always turn toward my Treasure: my Lord!

I will love You, my God, my crowning Glory. I will love You without great Rewards; I will love You even when my Needs are great. I will love the Most High until my Heart breaks in Death. Amen.

  • Titus 2:11

For the Grace of God that bringeth Salvation hath appeared to all Men.

This is the Night when God’s great Kindness appears to me; the Child whom all Angels serve brings Light into my Darkness: and the World and heavenly Light will not yield to a hundred thousand Suns.

Let my Soul be enlightened! I see the Radiance of His Grace; the Splendor in this small Manger extends into the whole World and drives away the Power of Hell, the Night of Sin and the Cross.

In this Light you can see the Light of pure Bliss; in a short Time when the Light of the Sun, Moon and Star fade, this radiant Light will be your Heaven and your every Thing.

Meanwhile, let your Light of Faith and Love shine brightly: if you are faithful to God this Light will shine for you. Leave darkness behind you and this Radiance will always shine for you.

Therefore, Jesus, beautiful Christmas Sun! shine on me with Favour; may Your Light be my Christmas Joy, teach me the Way of Christmas: how I should walk in the Light and be full of the Splendor of Christmas! Amen.

  • Psalm 37:4

Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the Desires of thine Heart.

One Thing I wish above all else: to sit down at the last Supper and to walk through the Valley of Tears, with the One who submitted to His Father’s Will and drank of the Cup of Blood, Sweat and Fear for my Salvation.

For ever I shall see Him, a silent Lamb, so bloody and pale, hanging upon the Trunk of the Cross. O, how He struggled to save my Soul. And just before He went to His Reward, He thought of me again, when He cried: It is finished!

Yes Jesus! forgive my Guilt and bless me with Your Grace. When I sat in Darkness, You stayed beside me. You sought for this Sheep a long Time before it heeded Your call. And when I came to You, You ransomed me from this evil World.

I am Yours! Amen! most faithful Jesus, You are mine! Your sweet Name, Jesus, is branded on my Heart! To leave everything Behind and to go with You, to live for You and live in You; to make a Covenant to walk with You, until the very last Hour is my greatest Wish. Amen.

  • Romans 12:15

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

Love will weep when we bury loved Ones. We feel Sorrow for the Ones left behind. As Christians we weep in the Hope of meeting again in Heaven.

In Faith let us raise our Eyes to Heaven. Here we are robbed by Death, but up there we shall meet again and live in Glory for Ever.

God’s Grace in our Hearts gives us Hope. With His Mercy we find Joy in Mourning and find Peace through Pain.

What Comfort do we have? we see the open Grave, but to Christians it is the open Door to Heaven.

What we have sown here in Weakness will rise in Glory according to God’s Word. In this we can take everlasting Comfort. Amen.
